It has been a great Summer here in Portland so far. It took a while for the sun to come out and play but it is here in full force now.

Anthony put together this great video of what’s been going down here this Summer. Nice one Anthony it really captures the good times we have riding here in Portland.

Now go ride.

A little summer footage from Eugene, Mt. Tabor and the Church Lot. Enjoy The Trick

There will be free water, we’ll be cooking some hot dogs, and a t-shirt for everyone who rides. Well I say that but if a 100 of you show there won’t be enough shirts to go round. After riding we will find a nice bar, get some grub and grab a few beers.

Everyone is welcome.

During the 90′s Scott Hagnas filmed and released the Infection videos. He traveled up and down the west coast filming some of the best riders of the time.

Here are the flatland highlights from the Infection 4 Good ol’ Boys video. Riders include Andrew Faris, Cory Strat, Scott Hagnas, Stefan Royer, Eric Stefano, Jamie Mac, and Jason Brown. You can find out more about the Infection videos here.

Team Shralp Presents: King Of Mt. Tabor

by James on June 28, 2010
in Events, News

TEAM SHRALP is having yet another epic BMX event to kick off the summer. Titled “King of Mt Tabor” rail jam and hill bomb race. Saturday July 3rd 2010 at Mt Tabor in Portland, Oregon. BBQ starts at 1pm, rail jam starts at 3pm followed by the hill bomb race.

The rail jam area contains three 12 stair rails in a row surrounded by many trees. The rails are square, made of steel, and perfect for runs and grind combos. You might have seen the set up at the end of Lou Rajsich’s part in the Northwest classic “Blueprint.”

The hill bomb starts at the top of Mt Tabor, twists and turns all the way down to the base of the city and finishes on Hawthorne at Zach’s Shack Hot Dog joint. A mile long hill bomb from the windy roads in the woods to one of the busiest streets in Portland.

Check out the Goods BMX blog for more info and updates.

Eugene Jam: June 19th, 2010

by James on April 19, 2010
in Events

Looks like Jeremy and Sonny are organizing a Eugene Jam for June 19th. I am stoked to see another NW jam being put together. Here’s the latest on the jam from Sonny:

“We’ve got the location narrowed down to 2 locations (both are more than adequate). I just checked out the second one today. lit, indoors, flat, and big! :) It’s attached to an indoor sk8park on tennis court surface. a bit slow, but consistent. the 1st choice is a big, lit asphalt area under a bridge. probably less rules, but definitely more bums. I’m gonna call on Monday to see what I’ll have to pay for the indoor facility — -We’ll try to keep everyone posted”

Check back here or join the Pacific NW Riders group on Elephant Glide for more info.

And don’t forget the Seattle Jam is on May 8th. Go to Global-Flat for details and updates.

While we all know about Joe and his love of flatland some of you might not realize that he is the bar game king.

We are hoping to start a weekly series highlighting Joe and his bar game skills. Next week he will be revealing the secret of the drunken beer toss.

So if you have any questions in regards to bar games or drinking please post it in the comments and we will pass it on to Joe :)
